The Craniosacral DVD series is fantastic! Finally an explanation about the biodynamic model that makes it easier to understand. Even with experience in energy medicine and having had training in the mechanical model, I was getting bogged down in the concepts of the biodynamic work. How can you listen to energy and tides, pay attention to the field, be aware of the movement of the cranial bones and more, and have a still mind at the same time?! I have just finished watching the six DVD for Structural Integration and have been enjoying adding techniques to my massage practice. I have a friend from massage school, who is an athlete/wrestler, with whom I trade massage and last week he told me that it felt like I my hands have gained 2 two years of experience in the last 6 weeks. How cool is that! I also have a regular massage client who gets weekly 90 minute massages and has allowed me to practice with her as I am learning the new techniques. A "conversation" with the tissues is much more appealing than "dictating" to the body. And I believe in a body's innate wisdom and ability to self-correct, perhaps with a little encouragement.
